The Bridges that Carry Us
The Emotional Journey of Creating Anything Great
I like this image. I think it applies not only to entrepreneurs but to all of us at different points in our lives. We all have sections along life’s trail where we need a bridge. Family, friends, faith community, others. We need bridges of grace, humor and love to help us through. We can also be a bridge for others.
Bridges can widen views, span real or perceived gaps and carry us over obstacles. We use them every day without thinking about them or being grateful for their presence. I’ve always loved bridges and enjoy thinking about what the space must have looked like prior to the bridge being built as well as the effort to see beyond the gap and build the span.

I never get tired of finding the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and thinking of the people who conceived of, designed and built that structure and I am grateful for the steel example of what I can be for someone today. What is your favorite bridge? Post it in the comments and let’s spend the day thinking about being a bridge.
