What if . . .
What if we were more like cities and continued to find ways to reinvent ourselves. We remember the past fondly and at times grieve for what was. Imagine what that energy could accomplished if we put ourselves in a place to imagine what could be . . . what SHOULD be.
Peter Schwartz has this to say about the future of San Francisco.
“Sideways is not an option. Down is not realistically an option for us,” Schwartz says. “So the only option is up.
Seems appropriate for our thoughts about ourselves. Moving our thinking sideways is like rocking in a chair: it feels good but doesn’t get us anywhere. Downward (negative) thinking just creates a hole for us and those around us.
Imagine what we can do/will do/have done when we think up.
